FORTITUDE

“Fortitude” physicalizes the emotional journey of finding individuality amongst a sea of conformity. This piece showcases how courage presents itself in scenarios of adversity and how resolution can be found through handling such conflict with resilience and fortitude.

ASCENDANCY

As time goes on, we experience moments of feeling in control and at peace with life in the current moment. We also experience situations where having control is out of reach and unattainable, resulting in a stress that directly contrasts the calm state of feeling in control. “Ascendancy” is informed by these juxtaposing ideas of control, as well as how these ideas and related emotions can be transformed into a physical entity. This work was created in collaboration with Dani Johnson.

AS A RESULT

“As a Result” is a solo work that closes in on the idea that current events happen as a result of the past. If not for the past, the present could not exist in the way that it does now.
